Planning and on-site reporting for "Root Film."
Kadokawa Games producer Yoshimi Yasuda reflected on "Root Film" and said that the theme of the previous game diverged from its original intention, so the second installment chose a classic direction aimed at mystery enthusiasts. Yasuda wanted to try remaking a text adventure game by Hifumi Kono, and Kono also proposed a collaboration between Yasuda producing and directing the game, leading to a joint project.
"Root Film" expanded its coverage scope at Shimane Prefecture's request to showcase the entire prefecture. Yoshimi Yasuda and Hifumi Kono conducted five days of research, using an accident on Oki Island as a game trick; According to Yasuda's recollection, Kono also included the locations and restaurants visited along the way into the game.
The voice candidates for "Root Film" are local participants
According to producer Yoshimi Yasuda, the staff of "Root Film" first proposed candidates for the lead role, and after receiving the most recommendations, Komada Wataru was invited to participate. Yasuda also proactively invited Negoshix, who is from Shimane, to appear in the game as himself, hoping to jointly promote the area.
