Hookah Haze is a text adventure developed by ACQUIRE and published by Aniplex. Toru Sumiki, suffering from a serious illness, shortly runs a hookah shop and, through conversations with three customers, reconsiders his own wishes.

Short-term store manager in the suburbs of Akihabara
The story is set in the outskirts of Akihabara in 2xxx. Toru Sumiki, feeling his life was running out due to illness, decided to make running a hookah shop his goal, following his doctor's advice. He is used to taking care of others first and neglecting himself; The daily experience of preparing the store and receiving customers gradually helped him face his own happiness anew. Encounters in the store focus on work difficulties, a past that is hard to let go of, and the process of each person searching for a sense of belonging.
Three regular guests
Falling in Love with Ameng works at a themed café, hoping to gain more recognition and companionship. Shin Meigetsuin is a shop clerk who appears polite and cheerful, but she has experiences she can't let go of. Kurumi Kurumi makes dolls for the company, is socially awkward, and lives at her own pace. Their professions and ways of communicating are different; Tetsu Tanki needs to gradually understand each person's troubles through conversation.
Guests and the choice of ending
Players recommend different flavors on social media, which can change the number of guests visiting that day; Key choices in the conversation further influence the endings of each storyline. All three female leads have multiple endings, and after seeing all three happy endings, new endings unlock. Therefore, recommending flavors is not only a daily part of the store's daily routine but also the entry point for selecting target audiences.
Store operations and Hookah LINK
Players mix combinations from five flavor categories and post daily recommendations through the store's SNS "Hookah LINK," receiving customer responses and private messages. During reception, the position of the charcoal and temperature management must also be adjusted. Guests also talk among themselves, and changes in guest combinations and recommendations will elicit different reactions.
Demo version and ANOTHER DAY
The trial version uses two days of independent story presentation and exchange in the store, with content different from the main story, and archives cannot be carried over. The official version of ANOTHER DAY retained this content. The publisher estimates the overall playtime to be about ten hours, depending on reading speed and branch reclamation.
Songs and original soundtracks
The theme song "Hookah, whoo!" is performed by Aigetsu Nakuru, with DECO*27 responsible for sound production and lyrics, and tepe composing and arranging the song. Selin's digital soundtrack album includes 25 soundtracks, available in WAV and MP3 formats, including "Tokyo Dreams," "Haze Talk," and "Aquarium"; "Hookah, whoo!" and "Yannacchau feat. LiLiPi" is not included in this soundtrack list.
