"Want to Become a Legend in the Galgame Field!! is a free Chinese visual novel produced by Noctella Observatory, set in an alternate world where Galgame serves as the core of social exams and promotions, blending campus romance with a parody of player culture.

A society where Galgames are the subject of exams

In this world, Galgame knowledge is a required course, and every three years a "Chosen Test" is held to select one thousand talents. The ritual of selecting appreciators from the gods gradually became a system for assigning social status, and personal interests thus came with competition and status pressures.

Chen Zhou missed the exam

The protagonist, Chen Zhou, was involved in a car accident on the day of the exam and missed the opportunity. Three years later, he still loves the virtual character Xiao Lian and spends time with his childhood friend Lin Xi, but finds it hard to get the same kind of response from his feelings. A transfer student who had achieved outstanding results in exams re-entered his life, and old incidents and new interactions were thus reconnected.

Form and production

The work progresses through campus dialogues, exam settings, and multiple endings, using fictional systems to reflect debates centered on appreciation levels and identity. The production team introduced the main text about 150,000 words, with Cang Lin responsible for production and script, Ning Juice involved in character and CG art, and Guoguo obst responsible for SD graphics. The base game is provided for free, with voice actors including Lin Xi and Xiao Lian.

Dubbing, materials, and epilogue production

Lin Xi is played by Hao Zhi, Xiao Lian by Werin, and other characters and the ending are credited with additional voice credits. Sorin and Bai Lin participated in the program, Nanananase provided the voices, Nannan Luo and Nagisaru contributed to the Japanese translation, and Mrprivateer, Sakuya, and Sucrose assisted with the ending; Background and BGM material providers are recorded by material position.
