"Natsuiro Sale Trim Sail 1" is a sailing-themed visual novel produced by Shonensha, featuring the first and second chapters of the first three chapters in the series. The story is set in 2017 on Shonan Enoshima, where Minato Iijima, who lost her swimming club, and Ruri Tanami, who is highly skilled but can't swim, face summer competitions together.

A reselected summer
Minato, a third-year high school student, worked hard to participate in swimming training, but her final competition ended in failure, and the club disbanded. Student council president Zushio Tokoba hopes the school can train athletes for international competitions, so he recruits sailing teams and invites old acquaintances Ruri to coach. The girls set their sights on the local competition in August.
Minato Yoruri
Minato longs for lively youth and is willing to try unfamiliar sports; Ruri already had strong sailing skills, but after her father Yuyuki Tanami drowned, she temporarily left the track. Their meeting restarted their previously interrupted goals and became the heart of the movement's story.
On campus and at the competition venue
Vice President Terusa Matsuura is a friend of Minato. Outside rivals include Kaede Oba and Inaho Mikuri from Kugenuma Girls, as well as Asagi Minamoto and Meiru Miura from Kamakura Hisaka. Teacher Izumi Honjo, coffee shop owner Yoshino Kirishima, yacht club manager Takumi Nagase, and reporter Kyoko Sawada each participated in Shonan's summer from their respective positions.
Connection to the previous work
This work uses the 'Serenade of the Tide' world. The previous installment depicted Shonan in 2004, while this one moves forward thirteen years later in 2017; Characters from the original work have evolved from students to adults, such as teachers and shop owners. Zushio Tokoba is also the younger sister of Yasuhisa Tokoha, a character from the previous work.
Chapters and the public process
The first chapter app version was released in 2017, and in 2018, Sail1 was released to include chapters one and two. The official website recorded the start of consignment sales on August 17. The second part, Sail2, includes Chapter 3 "Once Again, on Enoshima," which was updated multiple times and completed version 1.0 on December 24, 2020.
Production and music
Kotsuka was responsible for the script and created signed images with Aome and Hyomon; Written by Wakotsuka Aome. Ako Yamase provided vocal songs, A-dash handled piano performance and arrangements, and Futaba Umehara contributed the music. Chapter 1 opening: 'Gambarist Theme'; "Sail On" is also introduced as the ending song of the series.
Sailing knowledge
The work uses a 420-class sailboat, and the official website also includes costumes, sail outfit styles, and race introductions. Sports knowledge is connected to character training and competition, and the story progresses through reading.
