Scope of inclusion
The official website lists newly composed background music for the game and states that the album includes six themed vocal tracks including the opening, ending, and insert songs.
Revision and composition of the original game soundtrack
When Abao explained the DaSH soundtrack, he mentioned that the main theme was revised in two drafts to retain more of the 2012 theme; The interlude of Itaru Hashida's comedy theme 'Hentai Gentleman' also resonates with 'STEINS;' GATE's 'Noisy times' is connected.
"Close Quarters" combines four-beat kick drum and multiple sequences to express speed and tension. The first draft was less than a minute long. After considering the ongoing performance in the game, Abao extended the length to nearly twice the original.
"Bug" uses a kind of BASIC error notification BEEP; "Stagnation" uses electric piano chords to express the subduedness, and directly adds the sound of the second hand to convey the anxiety of time approaching.
The final chapter of "Each Determination" originally planned to write a song for each character. After reading the script, Abao switched to a song that seamlessly connects everyone's resolve and expresses a shared will in line with the main theme.
