《りばー・スプリング！ is a campus visual novel completed by BALANCE in 2007, directed and written by Naomi Shido. The daily lives of Koji Sagami and his dorm mates are divided into three routes: Prince, Ma, and Kanade, gradually revealing family secrets, research institute memories, and time in different directions.

Campus and dormitories
Koji gets along with his childhood friend Shiko, junior Ma, classmate Kanade, as well as friends like Mitsuyoshi, Seijuro, and Yukisada. Karasuma Kanko, the guardian of the Kawashishiki Dormitory, is also a key figure: her sisterly relationship with the crown prince and the secrets shared by Wakanade make her take on different roles along the three routes.
Three routes
The screenwriter organizes the three female leads in different timelines: the heir is forward, Ma is stagnation, and Kanade is reversed. The protagonist also runs parallel to the female lead, always lagging behind, and one step ahead. This structure allows the three stories to echo beyond the characters' experiences.
Branches and reading order
The author recommends reading the Seishi route, prequel, and the Asa route and Kanade route in order. Choices affect the route entry; a common failure branch is the monastic ending; The author specifically points out that if the heir chooses to visit the infirmary, he actually fails to meet the entry requirements for this line.
Prequel and interaction
The prequel was originally created as a demo version, telling the relationship between young Seijuro and Ma, and adding background to the main story. Kanade Line includes a whack-a-mole mini-game; if you fail, a prompt character appears. The work uses NScripter, and the author hopes to combine operable elements with scripted performance.
Production and Music
BALANCE is composed of friends, with Kagura Asahina providing illustration experience, and Naomi Shito handling the script, directing, and material coordination. The author's review records that the text exceeds 1MB, the background music uses original compositions, and includes two vocal tracks; Among them, "And Say Anything" is used for the end of the tweed thread.
