The timeline continues
This work continues the ending of 'Reunion,' where the protagonist does not form a bond with anyone. The last time we met was a year and a half ago, and the friends who spent their student days together still keep in touch within the same living circle. The story begins in the busy month of December, shifting the focus from past classmate reunions to the current relationships among the friends.
Year-end and New Year
Year-end parties, New Year's parties, and ski trips bring everyone together once again. Familiarity does not eliminate hesitation between people: ways of interacting, views of the past, and expectations of feelings all change during gatherings. The winter snow in the city forms a common backdrop with the festival, and love and friendship gradually advance through these everyday activities.
Main characters and performances
Ayu Wakabayashi, Mizuho Kobayakawa, Kanako Saeki, Makoto Kano, Shizuka Ogata, and Midori Akiyama continue the character relationships in the series. They are voiced by Akane Tomonaga, Kaori Fujisaki, Miwa Kozuki, Kazumi Seki, Minako Tezuka, and Minami Nagasaki. The work connects different characters through the shared experiences of tennis club alumni, and their familiar pasts are sources of conflict and closeness.
Script and visuals
Original artwork by Tooru Mizutani. The officially listed scriptwriters include Sekimachi Typhoon, Hiroaki Amashira, Kaze, Pocharin, Kyugen Doctor, Manabu Yokokura, Hayato Naito, and Rideru Kagurazaka. The first PC version used two CD-ROMs, with a graphics size of 640×480, compatible with Windows 95, 98, Me, and 2000 environments at the time.
Music
The theme song credited transcription lists the opening theme "just in love" and the ending theme "Tomodachi," both performed by Mayumi, written and composed by Bun Yoshida, and arranged by Yoshito Hata. The music and sound effects production credited to DOORS MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT.
refrain and collection
The release of "Reunion Refrain" in August of the same year began with another New Year's Eve gathering: the friends went to Yosuke's indie band XAX for a countdown performance to welcome the New Year. The official description describes it as another world of 'Again.' Both works were merged into F&C DVD COLLECTION vol.1 on March 28, 2003, and reissued as BEST BUY F&C 18 on April 28, 2016.
