Masaki Hibino and the past
Masaki is a second-year student at Nishihara High School. He usually interacts with friends and has feelings for Yuri Kosaka. The accident five years ago and the disappearance of Tachibana Kaede are memories he doesn't want to face. The book about resurrection gives him the possibility to change the past, while also introducing new dangers.
Lilies, fragrant seedlings, and thousand shadows
Yuri Kosaka loves reading and has known Masaki since first grade; Her friend Kanae Hiiragi serves as the head of the under-staffed news department and often argues with Masaki. Chikage Hibino is Masaki's stepsister, a first-year student, straightforward and skilled in fighting, with a close sibling relationship.
Antiquarian bookstore with friends
Midori Sangenzaka is the granddaughter of a secondhand bookstore owner. She loves copying rare books and is very proactive about strange phenomena, but finds it hard to interact with most people. Her grandfather did not believe in the supernatural. Masaki's friend Hiroaki Kagaya loves guitar and has a good relationship with Toshiya Sato, who has a different personality and interests.
Divergence and ending
Multiple routes revolve around different choices of the same matter, with characters' stances and actions leading to different consequences. It has both a branch of failure that ends immediately and a further explanation of the event's ending; Routes beyond the true ending provide information about the actions of other characters.
Keywords and tips
The game saves keyword explanations and provides hints at specific failures or disagreements. In 2010, the travel record required returning to the title screen to read keywords, and skipping reads was slow; These operational performances were limited to the version at the time.
Production and follow-up works
The PC version was produced by Berial, with the catalog published on May 22, 2010. The production team then developed Dear My Abyss, with co-producers forming a link between the two titles; Their different characters and stories should be included separately.
