Hiyama Sho

Lyricist and music content planner, involved in canoue and CRAFTSCAPE.

Co-creation and planning

Hiyama Hiyama and Shimotsuki Haruka are conducting music content planning at CRAFTSCAPE. Canoue's official member list lists her as the lyricist, Haruka Shimotsuki is responsible for vocals and composition, and MANYO is responsible for composition and arrangement.

Jointly planning how to develop into manga and radio dramas

According to Haruka Shimotsuki's recollection, the two had previously written lyrics and composed music for each other's worldviews. In 2007, Shimotsuki submitted a joint project titled "Tindaria no Seed," where the two produced a setting materials collection along with a music CD; The data collection attracted adaptation proposals from manga editors, followed by the development of a radio drama CD.

Write new words for the sound imagery of the melody

According to Shimotsuki's recollection, Naruke Michiko emphasized the sound of words in her melodies and already had the desired sound imagery; Hiyama Nao used this as a coined word for the lyrics of 'To a Distant Space.'

Music box collaborates with lyrics and music

During the production of "Tsukichai no Toshi" in 2005, Hiyama wanted to use music box tones related to the world setting. At the time, Shimotsuki found it difficult to realistically reproduce it through programming, so she created three physical music boxes based on the melody of the song "The Watchtower Rolls Around the Moon (月の満ち欠けけを刻む)," leaving them for each collaborator and used for recording.

A reading adaptation of the 2014 concept performance

When reconstructing the 2014 concept performance of "Tsukichai no Toshi," Hiyama rewrote the script, using a reading and simplified original soundtrack. The original created phrases for chorus and lead vocals overlapping, making it difficult for singers to present both simultaneously, and audiences also struggle to directly understand the story; As a result, performances were delivered in Japanese aloud.

In 2005, he collaborated with MANYO

According to Hiyama's recollection, when she produced her own album 'Tsukichase no Toshi' in 2005, Shimotsuki introduced her to collaborate with MANIO for the first time.

The lyrics and character voices of the Butterfly series

When producing the "Butterfly Series," Hiyama shifted to a more Japanese-oriented setting and directly used plant names such as "譲り葉" (譲り葉), "桜" (cherry), and "hollow wood" in his lyrics; She hopes that concrete imagery can help listeners imagine, which differs from her previous fantasy writing style that rarely uses conventional real terms.

She also explained that the work has fixed performers by character: Shimotsuki sings Yuzuriha and the narrator's part, Marie corresponds to Aya, PUPI corresponds to Utsugi, and singing styles also match the characters' personalities and settings.
