A summer vacation without goals
After his parents divorced, Kan continued his seemingly normal campus life, but didn't make a clear plan for the future. As the first semester of senior year approaches, a meeting with childhood friends and classmates leads him to new activities: a group forms a band for the cultural festival, and summer practice and interactions become the center of the story.
Reunion with childhood friends
Kosaka Chitose and Kanya have known each other since childhood; they are cheerful and easily believe what he says, and their relationship remains a familiar daily routine for a long time. Shuichi Sakura is a junior and childhood companion who left after his mother needed medical treatment, but later returned with her. She worried she might miss the time her friends spent together, and the reunion also carries the meaning of rediscovering her place.
Each student's own matters
Ibuki Ayase serves as student council president, excels academically but is not athletic, and hopes that Kanya, who once had similar grades, will make a comeback. Kotoko Yoshizumi is good at sports. Due to family reasons, she hasn't officially joined a club, but she helps others and met Kanya through her friend Chitose. The daily burdens of different people do not automatically disappear just because the band is formed.
The Nonohara Sisters
Yukiki Nonohara is in the neighboring class, attending the cultural festival executive committee. She usually speaks little, but has a pleasant voice. Rina Nonohara is a year below her, more outgoing, and proactive in her relationships. Yukiki's sudden arrival as the foster sister makes Rina worry that the family affection she once enjoyed alone will be taken away, leading to strained relations between the sisters.
PS2 adds routes
The PS2 version of "Chanter ~Kimi no Uta ga Todoitara#~" released on August 30, 2007, added Rina as a character who could develop romantic relationships, focusing on family emotions and growth to supplement her story.
