The Integral version of the winter opening
Misumi Soujin lived in the town for half a year. When he meets An Iwasaki in winter, he remembers his lost lover; An then came to the Furudate family and lived with him as his sister. This family was not brought together by blood; each had experienced loss, injury, or separation.
Life at the Furukan family
Writer Mayumi Furudate takes care of Soujin, Reina, and An. Reina lost her right arm and left leg in an accident three years ago and later moved to the Furudate house; Difficulties in movement and learning made her worry about adding a burden to her family. Souto usually seems unmotivated, but he also shows care toward younger people.
Characters from schools and hospitals
Mizuho Shiina and Jun Sekiguchi are classmates of Soujin. Rui Sui has poor eyesight and a cheerful personality; She has known Ruri Shinjou for many years and even gave her a name. Ruri was both Soujin's friend when he was in the foster care institution and Mizuho's former ward companion, still hospitalized; Natsumi Higuchi is Ruri's hospital roommate.
