Relationship with the festival

This version is based on the PS2 game "Matsuri," released in February 2007. The main storyline still follows Keiichi's daily life and village events after entering Hinamizawa, inheriting the console adaptation framework of "Matsuri"; The new content is mainly used to supplement reading, performance, and supplementary materials.

Keiichi and TIPS' voice message

"Fragment Game" supplemented voice lines for Keiichi Maehara and gave existing TIPS full voice acting. TIPS are used to provide supplementary information beyond the main storyline, and as a result, several new actors have been added to play these characters, allowing side stories to be read aloud.

Added voice actors and characters

The announced additional cast includes Fuyuka Oura as Miyoko Tanashi, Kazumi Tanaka as Hifumi Takano, Tsubasa Shioya as Koizumi, Rie Tanaka as Nomura, Risa Mizuno as Yukie Akasaka, Nana Inoue as Tomoe Minami, with Kiyoshi Kobayashi as narration.

Appreciation meetings and performance adjustments

This version introduces a voice chat called "お疲れ様會" (お疲れ様様會), allowing characters to participate in additional dialogues outside the main storyline, while also improving the game system. A promotional video released in December 2007 showcased these new additions, focusing on the reading experience of existing stories and additional performances.

Your vocal version

The additional song "you" was re-produced as a vocal song by WAYUTA, who produced the "Higurashi" radio drama, with lyrics and vocals by Satsuki Yukino and arrangement by OdiakeS, adapted from the original work's BGM of the same name.

Standalone launch and add-on versions

"Fragment Game" was released in two packages: a standalone launch edition and an append edition, with the same game content. The standalone startup version can run independently; The Append version requires the original "Matsuri" disc to launch. The difference between the two lies in their usage conditions, not in the two sequels with different content.

Packaging image

The cover of the append edition illustrated by rato is inspired by the packaging image of the original "Matsuribaya-hen," featuring a bright overall color scheme.
