Rafe's diary
The story begins with the life of a human in the apocalypse. Leve's childhood changed after meeting the traveler Philia, and his diary became a form of recording this connection. The characters and background continue from "The Star's End." When reading, one should first understand the machine civilization, human situation, and Filia's experiences in this story.
Scripts and fan production
The production team's release notes listed Romeo Tanaka as the author of the epilogue additional script, and stated that the Japanese text comes from the original deluxe limited edition. The planning, performance, translation, and programming of converting this text into a workable visual novel are handled by the fan team; The source of the original script and the creator of the game version should be recorded separately.
Art and sound
The release list includes Liu Yuezi's participation in CG key animation, Qianqu and Rang Yizhi's participation in the program and interface. The production team also revealed that Bert-VITS2 was used to assist with voice acting and Stable Diffusion to assist with some scenes. Filia has a voice performance, so it should not be mistakenly labeled as Key's official sequel re-recorded by the original voice actors.
Scope of release
The development team stated that the work is completely free and updated its release status on May 18, 2024, listing support for both PC and mobile devices. The team also clarified that they had no connection to Key and used some original materials; These statements only prove the nature of the work and the production method, and cannot infer that the copyright holder has authorized it or that the material can be freely reused.
Diaries and originals
In the apocalypse, human Leif meets the ferryman Filia during his difficult childhood, and his diary records the changes in his life. The setting continues from the end of the planet: The world after the rule of machine civilization; The original epilogue script was written by Romeo Tanaka and included with the exclusive original merchandise.
Fan creators
Qianqu serves as the team leader, responsible for performance, localization, programming, UI, and supervision; Rang Yizhi participated in the program and UI, while Liu Yuezi drew the CG. Yuzuki and Wakaba Kirin participated in proofreading and polishing, Mizuzu handled international translation, and Tsuunosuke translated the ending credits lyrics.
Sound and Scene
The production list explains that Filia's voice was created using Bert-VITS2, with some scenes generated with Stable Diffusion. Qianqu is responsible for synthesizing and dubbing, while Qianqu and Yanshuo participate in supporting scenes; This is not a re-recorded performance by the original voice actors for Key's official sequel.
Release
The author announced the release of the work on May 18, 2024, stating that it is completely free. The post lists Windows, Linux, mobile devices, and some handheld consoles as supported; These are the support areas stated by the production team. The team also clarified that they have no affiliation with Key and used some original materials.
