She cares about her only daughter and is willing to assist Akira. The idea of having the two go on an overnight date became the direct starting point for the EXTRA1 date preparation story.

At night, Akira takes Mashiro to the viewing spot where her father first met Peony. He also took photos of Mudan and her husband during their dates, because Mudan had appeared lonely when flipping through albums before.
EXTRA1: The reason for the proposal to travel far
Mudan suggested letting them go on an overnight date, hoping they could go far away and have fun. Akira thought she was joking, but after understanding the meaning, she formally invited Mashiro.
