Technique and Gothic style
The "Ludesia" facility combines medieval Gothic style with highly advanced technology. The namesake genius girl who rules this area has developed the "External Soul," allowing the soul to detach from the physical body and alter the state of life and death. This technology forms the basis of both social context and conflict.
Yao and Cruz
Yao and Cruz are bounty hunters working together, and they once lived like family with a girl named Ludecia. Because of their own mistakes, they lost her and their original lives. The church district then commissions them to investigate the living dead found in the city, and the case gradually connects to Ludecia's death.
Production and performance
The main thread of the work revolves around the two rediscovering the truth and connection, with Takeda in charge of the script and Ueda Yumeto in charge of the key animation. The battles unfold based on the worldview of soul and information technology, representing narrative performances within visual novels.
The family backgrounds of the three characters
Yao was originally a philologist from an outer city, but to support Crus and Ludesia, he became a bounty hunter. Cruz is the orphan of a fallen noble and the first child born in the facility; Their adopted daughter, Rudesia, is a genius engineer. The three of them—28, 14, and 13—lived like family, but lost Rudesia in a mistake.
Soul technology and duo combat
At the age of ten, Ludesia developed external and inner souls for separation, transplantation, and fusion and exchange of souls. Yao's Spiderling collects enemy data through electronic information threads, while Crus's scraping reuses data to generate the most suitable weapons, forming a complementary combat style.
Extras and mobile version announcements
The official website released a special SS for free on Valentine's Day 2009, and in May 2011, it was announced that the iPhone/iPad version would be available for distribution. In October 2012, it was announced that Vol.1 would be suspended due to development arrangements.
