LoveR's character design and visual collaboration are essential
In a 2018 interview with LoveR, Kiboshi explained that he drew characters based on Sugiyama's personality and experiences, and gave Yumina more realistic wisps of hair. After finishing, he would place it first, then review and revise it; Sugiyama also requested further revisions to align with the romantic character images required by the work.
When the visuals and program collaboration in "LoveR" encountered difficulties in adjustment, Jixing provided visual direction, and the team then adjusted the lighting accordingly. His supervisor also closely examined the eyes, hair flow, hairline, and color tone, extending character design into the actual game visuals.
Commissioning and sketching by Tetsu Sodate
In a 2024 email interview, the commissioner of "Sodatetsu" requested an art style aimed at a wide audience, using illustrations from elementary and middle school English textbooks drawn by Jixing as references. Faced with Asakaze Towa's fantasy-style sketches, he first asked about the reason for the setting, then added parts that fluttered with the wind along the sketch.
