The band before the cultural festival
About two weeks before the cultural festival, the protagonist's band, Cai, prepares to compete. He was responsible for guitar and songwriting. Although the new song was nearly finished, he always felt something was missing. His encounter with Ayako Katagiri, a girl from the art club, brought this musical trouble into his daily interactions.
Ayako Katagiri
Saiko loves painting, always carries a sketchbook with her, and often mixes English with her speech. She was classmates with bassist Takumi Osawa and initially did not accept invitations to the band's competition; Later, she discovered that the lyrics written by the protagonist sounded like a familiar song, which led to a dispute between imitation and creation.
Band member
Takumi Osawa is impatient but never holds grudges, while Koji Tamura is a calm and reliable drummer who helps the protagonist with his musical knowledge. Keyboardist Misaki Suzune is the only girl and first-year student, serious and considerate, secretly fond of the protagonist. The division of labor and personality differences among the four are reflected throughout the exercise.
The addition of ringtones
Suzune originally planned to learn about the orchestra club, but Qiaoshi handed her a light music club recruitment form, recognizing her ability to play the electronic keyboard. After several rehearsals, she realized the school didn't have an official light music club, but she had already grown fond of band life and was willing to support the protagonist in writing the songs she truly wanted.
Performance and clearing content
In addition to storytelling, the work includes guitar playing and composition mini-games. After reaching a happy ending, you can unlock after-school editing, solo mini-games, and photo gallery appreciation; After school, the editor focuses on the afternoon activities.
Music
Maki Kirioka composed songs such as "Like a Sunday Rain," which was first released as a single related to Ayako Katagiri. The game version was later included in the soundtrack catalog number KICA-7920. The soundtrack was released on November 27, 1998, along with her compositions "Hurry Up!" and "Tears Angel."
Connection to the graduation arc
Subsequent "Poem of Departure" provided "Aya's Graduation Ceremony." The usual unlock condition reads the happy ending album corresponding to this work and "Poem of Departure," saving it to the same PS memory card or corresponding SS storage media; Not any ordinary save can replace album data.
