From systems engineering to game planning and scriptwriting
Tsukasa Tsuchiya first worked in systems engineering, then spent about four years as a game planner at SQUARE ENIX. After winning the light novel award, Tsuchiya became a full-time writer; Later, he accepted an invitation and began writing game scripts. Tsuchiya reviewed these turning points in a 2023 interview.
The pacing restructuring of the novel "Nayuta no Kiseki."
When adapting 'Nayuta no Kiseki,' Tsuchiya re-edited the battles and repeated round-and-loop events from the game into a novel. Tsuchiya reduced the number of times the protagonist returned to the Left Island, adjusting Archa's condition and recovery conditions accordingly; He also had Kureha accompany him, so that the action parts in the original game, which had no dialogue, had a conversation partner for the protagonist.
Novel layout and character description
Tsuchiya proposed text noise processing for the novel "Nayuta no Kiseki," and editor Midorimoe Hirabayashi changed the related lines into QR codes that could be scanned to restore text, along with separators to distinguish different character narratives. In the novel, Tsuchiya places the greatest emphasis on the friendship between Nayuta and Signa; When writing swordsmanship scenes, he also tried to convey the mismatch when characters wielded large weapons.
