The ending song of the 'Feathering' one-night route was written and performed by Satomi Sato, presenting one-night emotions through music different from the Chiya route.
Night viewpoint and sound treatment
Satomi Sato wanted to use a lighter, more pop style to create a sense of redemption for the story of One Night, and to write about Shigure from a different perspective than Chiya. In a 2016 single interview, she explained that the finished track features left and right channels separated, and the interlude uses lines played in reverse.
Unrequited love imagery and production instructions
Satomi Sato first searched for a love charm, choosing amethyst, and wrote into her imagery the unrequited love that even the talisman couldn't respond to. Before composing, she first explained the characters and the work to the producers, juxtaposing the upbeat melody with the slightly morbid unrequited love lyrics.
When selecting words from the work to process the dialogue tracks, she also required that words related to One Night be clearly legible, so that the distortion of the voice still retains recognizable character clues.
