A girls' college in the forest
Spring Chapter sets the story at St Angrecam College, surrounded by high walls and nestled in the forest. The school has an Amitié friendship system, hoping students will form long-term friendships. Suo Shiraha enters her first year of high school, looking forward to starting a new life; She had previously lived with her grandfather and was homeschooled, so entering a collective campus was a significant change.
Su Fang and classmates
Su Fang is quiet and easily nervous, enjoys reading, and often quotes her favorite books or movies. Nycaia Council President Yoha Yashiro and Vice President Komikado Nerine have been childhood friends and are trusted on campus; Their acquaintance with Su Fang gradually led the freshmen to join the college's social circle. Relationships between people are developed through the Amitié system and club activities.
Friendship, romance, and suspense
The main storyline revolves around Su Fang's friendships, learning about rumors at the academy, and investigating the disappearance of students. The official product description states that the visual novel follows a branching route with seven different endings, including suspense, drama, and romantic relationships between girls. The branches revolve around character relationships and the progress of investigations, with the Spring Chapter forming the first segment of the Four Seasons story.
Chapters and Published Versions
"Spring Chapter" is the first chapter of the FLOWERS series themed around spring, focusing on Suo's initial relationships and events after entering the academy. The official English release page introduces the game under the names Innocent Grey and JAST USA, and offers a PC digital version; The series also features standalone products themed around summer, autumn, and winter.
The scale of the academy is comparable to the concept of friends
St Angrecombe College offers a three-year full boarding program, with 69 students in total, 23 per grade. Each class has a prefect, and Nicéa selects students from grades one and two to participate in the annual event. The entrance interview and written test determine the Amitié grouping; This year, the group changed from pairs to three-person groups, with Suou forming a group with Mayuri and Tachibana.
Freshmen, prefects, and nuns
Tachibana entered with the highest grades and was appointed class president by her homeroom teacher, Daria; Daria was both a nun and a ballet teacher. Berry and Ringo are twin sisters; Berry is the elder sister, Ringo is the younger sister. Erika uses a wheelchair due to illness and interacts with others through reading and distant conversation.
Reading functions for each handheld console
The Vita version offers 960×544 screens, color correction, and touchscreen operation, supporting Vita TV. The PSP version has a memory drive and screenshot function. The shared reading tools for both versions include read-free option reboot, rewind restart, quick save, and audio collection.
Book clues and the appearance of Erika
The missing 'Wuthering Hills' in the library is placed on the Tachibana bed, causing her to be misunderstood. Suo connected the flower names in the book, the names of the three Amitiés, and the book placed on the lowest tier of the three-tiered bed to find Erika in a wheelchair. At the twins' birthday party, Suo brought her to explain the reasoning and cleared up misunderstandings for Tachibana.
The twins exploited rumors of disappearance
Ichigo and Ringo borrow blood to smear Mary rumors about the disappearance of students, planning to leave the academy together. The apples that seem to be left behind are actually strawberries; the real apples hide in greenhouses; Su Fang noticed the abnormality between the room and the window and had swapped identities, eventually finding the two of them. It was only after the matter was revealed that the sisters expressed their unspoken feelings.
A three-person relationship within Mayuri's storyline
Mayuri once liked the housekeeper and once searched for the shadow of her first love in Tachibana. When she told Suo about the past, Tachibana overheard her; Later, Tachibana used this secret to force Suo to date her. Following advice from Nerina and Erika, Suo decided to end their relationship, and the three faced the problems together when Mayuri was suspected. After the Virgin Mary Festival, Suo and Mayuri confessed their feelings to each other, and Tachibana supported their future.
The Feast of Our Lady and the end of the school departure
After senior student Mizuki Sotoma was injured, Suo took over the piano accompaniment for the Madonna Festival. Her mother's memories help her escape during rehearsals. Berry and Ringo listen to her recount past stories, and Erika encourages her to try playing. Although the official performance did not go entirely smoothly, Suo and Mayuri still met at the church. Later, Dalia demands that the three Amitié lovers end their relationship, or else they will regroup; Mayuri leaves school on her date day, and Sufang can't say goodbye to her.
