Starting from TRPG gameplay with organized novels
When producing the doujin novel 'Uwasa no Kiriko-san,' Saito Kenji first hired someone to prepare a TRPG script, then created the story based on real-world gameplay of two players solving cases. He explained this method in his 2019 postscript.
Building a participatory storytelling website
Kenji Saito once prepared the world and rules of modern supernatural battles for the PBC character chat website, allowing participants to build characters according to the settings, cooperate, confront or fight during chats, and handle incidents. The chat logs themselves became readable stories. According to his 2018 review, the site has maintained over a decade by changing series, worlds, and rules, engaging in role-playing and observing others' real-time responses.
Adjust your expression based on character communication
When running such websites, he requires conflicts between characters to be handled by the characters. When playing a sharp-tongued character, they try how to use their words to avoid resentment, then adjust based on gaining trust or rejection; He regarded this experience of directly facing the subject of communication as an important foundation for later character writing.
