Axanael: Sound production

In "Axanael," Hironobu Hirata was responsible for the sound production.

Recording adjustments after orchestration and track order

When conceiving the sound for "Kayakashiki Nichijo," Hirata limited his instrumentation to guitar, bass, and drums. He noticed that many gamers wanted to cover songs with their own bands, so he incorporated this performance scenario into his design.

The track order for "flow" was discussed collectively among the members, with Fujishima pushing for "seseragi" to be placed first. After the track order was set, Hirata re-recorded the bass for about two songs, fine-tuned the rhythm to fit the overall flow of the album, and was commissioned by the members to handle the mixing.

"at Christmastime" had previously been released at live performances and on iTunes. When recording 'flow,' Hirata reflected on how he changed the mixing atmosphere.

"Mobile Phone" attempts to present Fujishima's voice from a different angle, combining sound order, acoustic guitar, and backing vocals together.

Game BGM selection and mono mixing

When choosing to change the game's BGM to a vocal version for the 2009 game "LOUD CUT," Hironobu Hirata based his survey on users' emotional responses when playing the corresponding scene.

He also hoped to redistribute songs that were already hard to buy during the Sony era, so he chose two old songs for self-cover and tried mono mixing. To properly handle mono audio, he invited engineer Kawaguchi, who already had experience in this type of mixing, to participate.
