When writing the novel 'Summoners War: Summoner War,' Ichiro Sakaki followed the original author's requirements to limit each summoner to one summoned beast. Instead, he uses the exceptions of multiple summoned beasts as a story thread, preserving the original world while forming the novel's own structure.
Choose your appearance pairing with the original creator
Sakaki first asked the original author about the most popular and desired summoned beasts, then considered attributes and character contrasts to choose combinations in the novel. When Volume 1 arranges multi-enemy battles, he intentionally mixes melee and ranged attack summons to increase combat variety.
Serialization Length and Preparations Needed for Adaptation
From past magazine serializations, Sakaki developed the habit of leaving room for one or two volumes to wrap up, so that if the length plan changes, the story can still conclude. After the animation, he found that product production would ask about the reading of character names and foreign spellings, so he decided on this information earlier and left room for adjustment in other details.
