Metal Wolf REV

"Metal Wolf REV" (メタルウルフREV) is a PS2 text adventure game released by PrincessSoft on February 23, 2006. It is adapted from Nozomi Yumihara's novel "Metal Wolf," and adds characters, story, and performances to the Dreamcast version.

The future of commune management

In a desolate future world, the Planetary Development Corporation controls the social system, and its employees form a privileged class enjoying the fruits of civilization. Minagi Hojo is a junior staff member at the local branch, working alongside Mizuyo Sakura and Karen Asagiri in the Complaints Division to handle various incidents.

Amnesiac Girl and the Past

While Minagi was out for work, she encountered a girl named Larisa, who had lost her memory. A cult with supernatural powers soon appears, and the girl's memories gradually intertwine with Minagi's sealed past. The core thread of the story is the lost memory known as Metal Wolf.

Colleagues and new characters

Sakura Ruiba is a laid-back employee, while Asagiri Karen is an elite newcomer. The PS2 version also introduces new characters and events, with the promotional focus on a girl selling fish on the street as the new story entry point.

Expansion of the PS2 version

REV is based on the 2002 Dreamcast game, adding new storylines and over 50 event CGs, expanding the voice lineup, with all voices except for the protagonist. The limited first edition includes a music CD featuring three versions of the new ending theme "Moonlight."

Adapted and produced

The original author, Nozomi Yumihara, contributed to the game script. The PS2 version staff records are co-written by Takashi Aki and KYUHAI, directed by KYUHAI, with character design involving AM-DVL and Kei Yoshino. The music was composed by Masahiro Sano and the production team of Yuichi Ota.

The ending theme "Moonlight" is performed by yozuca* and rino, with lyrics by rino and music and arrangement by Sei Anse; Later included in yozurino*'s album "SMILOOP*."
