Mai-HiME System Tree of Fate Shura-related production
Plan the game background and character relationships for the Fate System Tree, including Fuuka Town, the former Mibukuro family location, and the protagonist's university experiences.
The meaning of words and worldview in stage location selection
In the April 2006 development diary for 'Mai-HiME: System Tree of Fate Shura,' Mari explained that the game setting was first chosen based on the character 'Hime' from the core setting 'Hime Legend,' thinking of Ehime, then searching for a location compatible with the anime's worldview, and finally choosing the Matsuyama area.
Temporary sketches in relationship diagrams
Mari is also responsible for composing the character relationship charts on the official Shura website. When drawing the relationship diagram, Yukino and Haruka's design was not yet complete, so a temporary sketch was used to represent the two.
Multiple manuscripts for the ending to be added
In 'Shura', Mari is responsible for the additional endings and additional scripts for Ao and Nao. Due to limited screen time for adding the ending, Mari proposed multiple versions of Aoi's ending, receiving feedback that it was overly developed or too long to be accepted. After repeated discussions with the director, the content was finally compiled into a draft.
An April Fool's illustration draft not yet adopted
On June 9, 2006, Mari reviewed the April Fool's Day illustration on the official website of 'Mai-HiME: Unmei no Systematic Tree Shura' and said she had considered another plan, but it was not adopted due to time and other conditions. Afterwards, Mari made the draft public in this diary.
