She strictly guides newcomer Kaori, believing that nursing work must always respect life. Compared to her work ability, she is not good at cooking or tidying up her room.
RE:Therapy Original: Nagisa Route
Kaori repeatedly makes mistakes due to her senior's transfer to surgery. Hatsumi and Yamanouchi remind her to pay attention to her work attitude; Afterwards, Sayuri's encouragement also motivates Kaori to work independently again.
In the RE:Therapy style of the Gisa route, with a good ending, Hatsumi Yokaori and Sayuri jointly persuaded to run up to the rooftop Gisa. Their persuasion made Nagisa give up jumping, and Nagisa later apologized for the harassment she had previously shown to Kaori.
RE:Therapy original edition: Sayuri route
In RE:Therapy's Sayuri Good Ending, Sayuri has no place to return to after returning to Yurigahama. Hatsumi arranged staff dormitories for her, added an epilogue, and then wrote that she had completed nursing studies and was working at a hospital.
RE:Therapy Original: Hatsumi route
At the beginning of RE:Therapy's Hatsumi route, Kaori writes to Sayuri's Shinyu Yamanouchi and forwards it, but Sayuri tears it up on the spot. Hatsumi then comforts Kaori, who is discouraged.
Before finishing work, she apologized for her previous harsh words and invited Kaori to dinner. She originally tried cooking herself, but after failing, she discarded the dishes and instead served the other party with food she had bought.
RE:Therapy original: Yamanouchi Route
Two patients suddenly changed at the same time, and she and Yamanouchi each led a nursing team. Afterwards, Kaori was harshly criticized by Yamanouchi, who reminded her that she could make up for her lack of experience with other strengths.
