Music events

After working as a backing vocalist, she debuted with "Who Means Forever," participated in anime songs such as "Slayers" and "Revolutionary Girl Girl," and also provided works for other artists.

Game songs

She wrote and performed "Hikari no Hana" for the Muv-Luv side story anthology, and was the vocalist and lyricist for "FISSION." Both songs are included in "SYMBOLIC BRIDE."

Perspective of the Warriors and the Guide

The lyrics of "Metamorphose" use the perspective of a warrior, distinct from the perspective of the PC theme song "Sending Off the Traveler." She listened to Ki Dadani sing the lead vocal concepts and the possible split singing by each member, and only finalized the title after completing the lyrics.

The handling of the self-cover of "Get Along."

In his 2023 self-cover of "Get along," Okui retained the original arrangement, remixed it to highlight the rhythm section and guitar, added some chorus parts, and changed the vocal style to make it closer to his rock style.

The multi-member song was converted to a solo

When recovering "ONENESS," Okui faced the original song's arrangement for multiple people to take turns singing, leaving almost no room for breathing when singing solo. She also took time to break free from imitating the singing styles of original singers and rebuilt her own expression.

Lyrics communicate deeply

Okui wanted "Metamorphose" to express genuine fear and reluctance to fight. When she hesitated to reveal human weaknesses, she consulted producer Yoshida and got permission to write in depth.

Composed the bonus track for the DVD version of "Reactor."

For the new bonus song included with the 2015 "Reactor" DVD, Kanako Ito briefly told Masami Okui the album's theme and asked her to freely compose a passionate song. She hopes to sing with the audience during performances.

Lyrics and naming for Baby Baby Baby

When writing the lyrics for "Baby Baby Baby," Okui read the original work that had already been released at the time, focusing on the pure girlish temperament she felt at Takama, and composing the lyrics with the voices of the two of them singing together.

She recalled that the demo already had French lyrics; Considering that the entire song was only in Japanese, which didn't fit the song, she kept a small amount of French and added English.

She conceived the song title of "Baby Baby Baby" based on her understanding of character relationships, and also considered how the title would appear as screen text.

Duet singing and recording sequence

Okui arranged the singing segments himself, recording his own parts first, then the other part was recorded by Bonjour Suzuki. She did not participate in the recording, conveying that she was not restricted by her own recording method and could sing freely.

D~Spiral~'s grievances and recorded singing

While producing "D~Spiral~," she suggested a modern rock direction to R・O・N and hoped the song would include sections that would be easy for the live audience to speak out.

Looking back on the recording of this song, she mentioned that she usually prefers to keep her singing lively, minimizing the habit of correcting and repeatedly recording as much as possible; She felt the recording went smoothly.
