Lyricist collaboration for "There is."
Shinichiro Matsumoto first handed Marie the song for "There is" and asked her to try writing the lyrics; When she received the song, she didn't know when the work would be released. During the pandemic, it was hard to find words and phrases, so Matsumoto suggested using more hazy imagery. She referred to the writing style of Hinako Konno, whom she respects, to complete the work that was later included in the 2021 album "Missa Precis."
Marie also recalled that Matsumoto often prepared several candidates, asking which song she wanted to sing, whether she preferred fast or slow songs; This way of having the singer choose it gives her a stronger sense of responsibility to complete the performance.
Early invited vocalist of Love Solfege
Marie In 2021, looking back, Shinichiro Matsumoto often worked in the same studio as Rita; She believes that her later invitation to sing at Love Solfege was also related to this connection.
