"The Lament of a Lifeless Star" (English title: The Lament of a Lifeless Star) is a visual novel with a post-apocalyptic theme by Talesshop. Survivor Art, along with the imprisoned Rami and robot maid Mirona, travels together to find direction in a post-destruction world.

After the world was destroyed

The story begins in a world where human civilization has collapsed. Art originally survived alone, but after meeting Rami and Mirona, the three began to travel together. They have neither a clear mission nor a grasp of the future; The journey itself gradually leads them toward the cause of the world's destruction. The interactions between characters and the loneliness in the post-apocalyptic environment form two threads of the story.

Main characters

Rami (라미) is a girl who was once imprisoned, while Mirona (미로ナ) is a robot with the appearance of a maid and her duties. Art (アー트) is the male survivor from the beginning. Rami is voiced by Lee Ji-hyun, and Mirona by Lee Jae-hyun.

Routes and performances

The original work follows a main route, including four endings and additional storylines. Text, character dubbing, and event CG work together to advance the narrative; Ruins environments and special effects create a post-apocalyptic atmosphere. The character costumes were inspired by real Lolita clothing, with design assistance from the Baroque-Lolita fashion brand.

Creators and songs

The script and direction were handled by Jinagaga Dungae (Workingdog), Shinoba handled CG, Pokan assisted with illustration, and Choronagwi composed the music. The ending theme shares the same name as the game, composed by 초롱아귀 (초롱아귀), with lyrics by Lielle and 초롱아귀 (초롱아귀). Lielle performed and was responsible for mixing and mastering, produced by ZigZag Studio.

PC version and soundtrack collection

The Steam PC version, released on January 15, 2024, boosted the graphics to 1920×1080, updated the interface, and added five EXTRA stories. The digital soundtrack, released on January 23, 2024, consists of 27 tracks, including the character songs "Rami," "Mirona," "Yooshil," the ending theme of the same name, and "Kyu." Each of the two vocal tracks includes accompaniment, and the album is produced with music credited to QOB Studio.
