The duties of the saint
After the previous generation Saintess was held accountable and executed for the Great Collapse, she inherited the position of the 29th Saint. The people believed her prayers kept Novas Aiter in the air. She usually lives in the sanctuary deep within the sanctuary and rarely appears publicly.
Public image and personality
Irena, who is blind and also known as the Blind Saintess, enjoys great popularity among the people. Only a few people understand her personality: outside of public, she sometimes becomes stubborn and shows it directly when angry.
Her identity in Eustia of the Filthy Wings
In the PC Saintess arc, due to a new collapse, she faces execution, and Kaim intervenes to stop her. She knows the city does not rise by the saint's prayer, yet she still trusts the angels' guidance in her dreams; Lavilia's choices bring conflict between their beliefs and mutual dependence.
Artist Explanation for Costume Expression (Creative Materials)
In the third old column, Bekkan Kou introduces the saint under the name Colette, pointing out that casual clothing is rare; The commonly painted saint's robe features many piping and headwear details, making it quite labor-intensive to draw.
Imagined scenes after the ending (Creative material, spoilers included)
This chapter imagines a scene of collecting clothes to dry several years after Tia's ending, and specifically states that the character is simply with their eyes closed. The artist hopes that after enduring hardship, Colette can live happily ever after with Cam; This is his personal imagination.
This chapter is the Saintess Chapter: Letters and Staying Guests
Lavilia handed the Saintess's letter to Tia; Kaim and Tia leave the prison and head to the upper cathedral, staying at the Saint's request.
This chapter of the Saintess: Taken away and rescued
At Lavilia's request, Kaim puts the saint to sleep and takes her away; Lavilia prepared to take the saint's place in the execution, and the two later helped save their lives by not using the golden chains.
The Saintess Arc and Personal Ending
When residents gathered due to the earthquake, Nadal asked the saint to calm them. Yet she prayed for five consecutive days while waiting for the angel's words, dismissing Lavilia, who urged her to stop; After Keim and Tia proposed returning to prison the next day, she stopped praying and collapsed.
At the execution ground, after hearing Lavilia play the old qin music, the saint rushed toward her, and the two fell off a cliff together. Cam had previously used the holy cast gold coins handed over by Lavilia to entrust the Uncorrupted Gold Chain to rescue them. After being rescued, they left the prison with Cam.
