Japanese Liberation Front Arc
The protagonist defies Zero's orders, joins the Japanese Liberation Front, and together with Toudou and others, seeks a path to liberate Japan. Kyoto-based characters like Kaguraya and Kirihara also participate, and the story leans more toward combat than the PS2 exclusive.
Limited edition packaging and reprints
The limited first edition packaging includes BLACK REBELLION UMD footage, re-editing the first season of the anime. The official website later announced plans to launch a budget version of the PSP the Best on December 3, 2009.
