English and getting along
The male lead was confident in his abilities but repeatedly faltered in English class. The pressure of studying progressed simultaneously with his interactions with Qin Jingxue: helping and receiving help brought them from a surface distance to a deeper understanding of each other.
Tan Jing was redressed
Qin Jingxue comes from a wealthy family. She is polite to others but dislikes to take the initiative to talk, which makes her seem difficult to approach. She helped the male lead many times, and their relationship developed through these specific interactions. The story presents outward modesty with practical actions.
