Back to Earth
Pochi relies on the life force given by the five masters and returns to Earth together with Kagari. Chihaya provides them with a place to live, and Pochi tries to train as a butler. His daily work gradually exposed him to ordinary life, but he still habitually used his vitality as a reward for his actions.
Learning to get along with others
Pochi meets Yoshino while out and initially misunderstands Yoshino and his companion's behavior. As his experience grew, he began learning how to communicate with strangers. Preparing clothes for the fire and caring about the difficulties of people on the street became their daily routines on Earth.
Leave the mansion
An experience of helping patients go to the hospital helped Pochi rediscover what he could do. He no longer counts all his help into vitality, eventually leaving the butler job to embark on a new journey with Kagari. The short story focuses on his transformation from carrying out tasks to actively choosing actions.
Volume 13 bonus
Volume 13 of the anime was released on September 27, 2017. Both the Blu-ray and DVD limited editions included a brand-new third PC game, and also included episode 24. This title is a special bonus with this DVD set.
Ending theme and single
The ending theme of the same name, 'Cradles Tale,' features lyrics by Kai, music by Donmaru, arrangement by Yuichiro Tsukakoshi, and vocals by Runa Mizutani. The single "Instincts," released on March 22, 2017, was included first, catalog number KSLA-130; The five tracks include two songs, the Instincts TV-length version, and two accompaniments.
The housekeeper and cook in the villa
Chihaya moved Bochi and Kagari from the mansion to the villa, hiding their existence. Boqi recited the butler's letter but still got by with bottled tea; Kagari couldn't cut tofu, so he used Chihaya's vitality to make slightly sour miso soup.
Yoshino's suggestion is to pick up and drop off the moon
Yoshino talks about caring for bedridden mothers during the Earth's decline. Bochi takes his companions to the moon to prove their abilities, then adopts Yoshino's suggestion to explain vitality in a less intimidating way, using the transportation income to buy a uniform for Kagari.
Paired watches and travel expenses
Kagari doesn't understand time, so Pochi buys matching watches for the two, hoping to spend time together like humans. As he was about to leave Chihaya's home, he presented the lunar transfer income as payment for his journey to get closer to humanity.
