Library and the world of books

The books in the library do not merely tell stories, but are connected to different worlds. Lilith, who manages these worlds, is called 'Yami'; This word is also a job title in the setting. Different worlds have different eras, environments, and lifestyles, allowing journeys to shift from grand otherworlds to everyday dwellings.

Companion

Lilith has a strong and childlike side, and she also becomes interested in ordinary living spaces. Another companion, Ken-chan, is a cockatiel who speaks the Kansai dialect, familiar with the library and its world, and plays the role of explaining and guiding the way. The comedic interactions along the journey run parallel with fantasy settings, rather than always maintaining a solemn adventurous atmosphere.

Games and animation

The protagonist of the game version is a being called 'Nukire.' Although the TV anime retained the basic concept of world travel in the book, Hazuki was replaced by the protagonist, with a separate storyline. The anime centers on Hazuki's journey to find Hatsumi, following a different main storyline from the original game.

Original game book editing and rescue

The protagonist thought he would still have time to apologize after arguing with the girl, but suddenly the sky split open and a giant red dragon took her away. After falling into the library, he learns that his world is nothing but a book; The book was damaged and couldn't be returned directly. Protecting the original world, repairing the book, and rescuing the girl became the goal of this journey.

Tickets and managerial attire

Lilith explains that the library contains various parallel worlds, where contract guests can enter different worlds based on the number of tickets, but the protagonist has never claimed a ticket. Manager Yami's hat and cape, Jou-kun, are living creatures, with the hem stretching endlessly to manage the collection; The little creature Kogechibi's outfit is similar to its own, but its inner identity remains a secret.

Residents of all worlds

Fujihime is the spirit of the wisteria tree where Kaguya-hime's relics are kept, and the twin-tailed fox Meilin practices the Way of Sage in the same classical world. Huang Rongzi was set in the context of diplomatic missions during World War I. Maid and inventor Mau and Seiren, who excels at singing, each have their own worlds, while Aya can freely cross between libraries and books, maintaining a clear character continuity with CORE's 'Torus Zero.'

Ambient sound and impression records

During development, KIM used ambient and sound effects to create the game's atmosphere, and Feel also produced a first edition impression CD; This record was created based on the artwork's visuals and worldview, and is not a direct collection of songs used in the game. Produced by Takehiro Kawabe and Noriyasu Uematsu, sung by Hiromi Sato, and included as a first press bonus with the CARNELIAN picture book.
