"The Box of Memories of Forgetfulness" is a campus suspense visual novel created by DreaMory. After his parents disappeared, Qin Youyu lived alone. After entering Yunhai No. 1 High School, he met several classmates, and news about his parents changed his life.

The story begins
Qin Youyu's father disappeared after leaving for work, and her mother soon after. He always wanted to find his family, but for a long time, there was no result. After transferring, Youyu interacts with Lin Li and Lian Cheng, and also becomes deskmates with another transfer student, Yu Youmeng. Qiu Xiaoran's reminder about the two girls brings suspicion to what seems like an ordinary school life.
Classmates and friends
Lin Li is quiet, has excellent grades, and is close to Lian Cheng; Lian Cheng speaks little but is sharp, often acting together with her. Yu Youmeng is a member of the athletics team, skilled in sports. Qiu Xiaoran is a friend of Youyu and offers help when he encounters difficulties. The trust and concealment between the group gradually unfold along different routes.
Route structure
The game is divided into Common Story, Linli Route, Liancheng Route, Youmeng Route, and After Story. The three personal storylines advance the suspense through the experiences of different characters, and the subsequent story continues to address previously unresolved relationships. During reading, you need to make choices about your options; The Steam version also sets achievements based on route completion.
Production and voice
DreaMory was founded in 2014, began developing the game that same year, completed release at the end of 2015, and launched on Steam on June 14, 2016. Soy Sauce was in charge of hosting, Du Zi'e was in charge of art, and Qiqi produced the music. The game has Chinese voice acting: Lin Li as Zisu September, Lian Cheng as Lingliao Xin, Yu Youmeng and Zhang Chenxi as Leisurely Treading on the Wutong tree, and Qiu Xiaoran as Asing.
Theme song and original soundtrack
The theme song "Memories" was written by Ruochi and Songyao, composed and arranged by Ji Qi, and performed by Ruochi. The 2016 soundtrack collection is available in WAV and MP3 formats, containing 18 tracks, including the accompaniment version of "Memories" and the music box version of "The Moment." The song and soundtrack together form the soundscape for campus daily life and suspenseful scenes.
Set set and radio drama
In 2024, Steam will release a 58-page digital setting set and a special radio drama. The setting collection includes art, guides, side stories, and creative reflections; The radio drama includes three standalone stories. The radio drama's Qin Youyu is performed by Asing, and this credit corresponds to the drama version.
