In a 2014 interview on 'Mystery F Detectives' Curtain Call,' Asada said he had asked Abel, who had worked with Kanno for a long time, to write about 70% of the outline he left behind into a script, preserving the overall process, development, and conclusion. After receiving the manuscript, he discussed possible writing styles with the screenwriter and avoided merely imitating the article's appearance.
