Arrive at Bly's maid
After losing her job at Hartwell, Lorina had to continue supporting her family living in Liverpool and had to look for another position. She arrives in Bly but faces heavy labor, exclusion from a senior maid, and trouble from the manor's lady, Constance. The pressure of the new job and the rumors left behind by the sudden dismissal jointly affect her situation in the mansion.
Taohua and the estate rumors
Taohua is one of the few maids willing to talk to Lorina, but she rarely participates in other servants' activities and has her own private bedroom, which arouses suspicion from those around her. At first, Lorina wanted to keep her distance, but their relationship gradually changed as they spent time together. The isolation in the mansion is also the starting point for understanding this relationship.
Reading Form
This article has no choices or branches. The author estimates the English text to be about 100,000 words, with reading hours of about seven to ten hours, produced using Ren'Py; the itch edition lists English, German, Chinese Simplified, Russian, and Japanese, and distinguishes the different content levels in construction. Ratalaika Games later released a console version, with the publisher's page stating February 11, 2022, and platforms including Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Original soundtrack
The soundtrack was composed by Yuzuki. The game description features eighteen original soundtracks, while the Steam standalone soundtrack includes nineteen tracks, including the first eleven seconds of 'Prelude.' The album was released on Steam on October 24, 2017, featuring tracks such as "Scent of Blackberries," "Hidden Lotus," "Secret Garden," and the final track "Drops of Honey."
Connection with Bittersweet Blossoms
The author later published "Bittersweet Blossoms," also using Bly as the story setting and having a character reappear. Set over fifty years after "BlackBerry Honey," the game features a story that can be understood independently. The author specifically notes that Lorina and Taohua do not appear in the story, so the connection comes from location, some characters, and themes, rather than directly continuing their romantic lives.
