Winter at Xiangye High School

The story takes place at Shōyō High School in Shizuoka Prefecture. Transfer student Moe Miyazawa sat next to Hiroshi Fujiwara; her excellent grades and cold attitude made it hard for her to fit in with the class. Fujiwara, whose family had already broken down, was attracted to her but also afraid of forming intimate relationships.

Two types are close together

Moe Miyazawa was bullied at school, took a leave of absence, and transferred to a new school, aiming to get into the University of Tokyo, often taking a tough stance to protect herself. Reika Fukihara is outgoing, lively, and unrestrained, giving Fujiwara a different kind of warmth; Her own experience with blended family and care for loved ones add to this bright and complex background.

Classmate relationships

Megumi Kozasa, Uon Naito, and Sai Naiki formed a mutually supportive circle of classmates. Naito likes Fujiwara, Kozasa harbors hostility toward Miyazawa, and Nakiri feels her status is challenged by Miyazawa's arrival. Emotional competition and campus exclusion together influence the protagonists' choices.
