Heading to Okinawa

After participating in the Hokkaido Shinkō Exhibition, Soma Naruto gradually gained recognition from peers. This time, Serizawa Shuhei from Naha Publishing's Studio GIAS sought external support for the "Beautiful Island Exhibition," with the former editor arranging for him. He was initially reluctant, but an unexpected letter gave the journey a personal meaning.

Materials and Reporting

The travel area includes Okinawa Main Island, Ishigaki Island, and Zamami Island, with scenes taken from actual locations. Players travel by bike or boat, conduct surveys at scenic spots, take photos, and after returning to their base, select articles and images to publish, and read readers' reactions through comments. Who you travel with can change the communication you have during your journey.

Three companions

Serizawa Koyomi, Shuhei's younger sister, had long known about Tetsuru's experience participating in the Shinkou Exhibition; Kaikoto Uehara lives on Ishigaki Island, facing conflicts between her family's traditions and her own wishes; Masatsuru Tenketsu Taylor traveled from the United States to Japan to search for his missing mother. The three questions connect the journey to belonging, the future, and family.

Production and Music

Character design was handled by Daisaku Kishigami, with script credits by Naoki Kato, Koichi Asano, and Katsuhiko Fujiwara, and music composed by Saga Fengshui. Later, the original soundtrack for the five discs of 'Fuu Rai Lai Ki 1~5' included the music from this work on the third and fourth discs, with tracks such as 'Nirai Kanai' and 'Kaze no Music Box'.

Haiqin is caught between inheritance and outlying islands

Haiqin inherited her grandmother Uehara Odo's folk singing and sanshin talents, but lacked confidence and was unsure if she should become the heir. She wanted to leave the island and find her own path, but hesitated because she had no other skills. Eventually, she followed the path to find Nirai Kanai and reconsidered what Okinawa meant to her.

Clues to the search for the mother in the photo

Masatsuru's mother left her with her grandparents in the United States, and after returning to Japan alone, she disappeared. Tetsu investigates the 30th anniversary report of Okinawa's reversion that his mother read before she left, and discovers that the stone engravings in the photo match those on Mazuru's wrist, so he decides to help her find her mother beyond the interview.
