Temporary tuning and opening music plan
In an essay published in 2025, Takamitsu Ono recalled that after a song had already passed the audition, he received another request at 8 p.m.: the script had changed, and two more songs needed to be written by the next day. He didn't sleep that night, but finished and submitted two pieces the next morning.
On another occasion, when composing opening music for a voice actor's live performance, he struggled to choose between his own melody-focused style and the purpose of the opening, so he ended up creating two pieces and handing them over to the agency to choose from.
Research works and commissioned compositions
Takamitsu Ono was inspired by TM Network's "RAINBOW RAINBOW" in elementary school, and in junior high, the first piece he imitated and practiced was "You can Dance." He continued to study chord progressions in Tetsuya Komuro's works and also equipped similar equipment.
In a 2025 conversation, he introduced his compositional method: starting from the client's vague vision of the finished product, working backward to the required sounds, and then gradually filling in each part.
