"Symbiotic Love" is a yuri visual novel produced by Bailu Society and published by PeriScope Game, and it also serves as the opening story of the Linghua series. The four-member group from Linghua Academy

Zihua fears her mother's control and is unwilling to approach others; Zisa, however, cares deeply about this transfer student because of a childhood memory and tries to get her involved in daily interactions. The two form a four-person group with class president Harui, who mediates classmate relationships, and Asayu, who is bold but lively. Jokes on campus, lantern festivals, and time spent together gradually transcend ordinary friendships.

Family and an untold past

The relationship between Zisa and Zihua is influenced by family status, the wishes of elders, and past events. The work uses 'Romeo and Juliet' to echo the obstacles of romance, but it also has its own secrets and narrative structure. In an interview, H no Balance explained that he tends to leave room for interpreting the ending, allowing readers to form an understanding based on clues, rather than writing all questions directly as answers.

Production and follow-up works

H no Tenpyo was responsible for the script, Eternal Melody responsible for character design and CG, Saul Robinson for the music, and Cat in the Box participated in interface and promotional video production. The Steam version was released in 2019, with the original soundtrack provided separately. Bailu Society's later "A Thousand Faces" pushed the timeline forward by ten years, continuing to unfold another story between girls at Linghua Girls' Academy.

Feelings on rainy days and in sickness

On a thunderstorm, Zihua goes alone to the garden to look for important items, and the thunder makes her afraid to continue; After Zisa appeared, she leaned into his arms. Later, Zisa caught a cold and fever, and in her daze, confessed her feelings for Zihua. Zihua responded with a confession, and the two confirmed their feelings with a kiss.

Romeo and Juliet after the recasting

Zihua agreed to replace Qianyu as the stage drama heroine Juliet, while Zisa played Romeo. The campus performance became a shared opportunity for the two to express their feelings, but subsequent family upheavals forced them to face conflicts between their kinship status and the previous generation.

A final chapter of inheritance conflicts and intertwined chapters

After their shared father passed away, the inheritance dispute became the trigger for family upheaval. With Zisa's mother gone, the half-mother relationship that the girls had previously known was revealed. The final chapter overlaps the past and present timelines, with the lines displayed on the screen and the voice acting each showing two dialogues respectively, raising narrative questions about the ending of Zi Sa seen by Zihua.

Unused tracks from the original soundtrack

The "Sending the Song - OST," released on April 17, 2019, contains nineteen tracks produced by Saul Robinson. The playlist starts with "Approaching Heart" and includes "Chance Encounter After School" and "Memories Flow Backward"; Track 13 is 'Wangnuo', and track 19 is labeled 'Wangnuo (Unused)'.
