When producing her second album, YURIA wanted to add new original songs beyond her existing work tracks. "Shampoo to Give You" was due to scheduling conflicts with the original arranger and the desire to differentiate it from other pieces, so she decided to arrange and perform all instrumental parts herself.
To record the drum sounds for the new song, YURIA practiced for five days over about a week. During official recording, the producer first had her perform the full piece, then re-recorded the required parts; The bass was completed within two recordings.
