Discussion and recording of the score together with Katsu Yokoyama
During the production of the 2019 anime 'Astra Beyond', Nobuaki Nobusawa and Katsusuke Yokoyama discussed a unified concept and composed the music separately. Both handle both comedy and serious tracks, avoiding genre-based division that would scatter the music; Yokoyama chose to focus on seriousness, leaving more comedic expression to the visuals and story.
After Yokoyama proposed using overseas orchestras, Nobusawa wrote music according to these recording conditions. He experienced large-scale string recordings overseas for the first time and explored the use of the cool sounds of piano and strings in non-SF sections.
Educational Experience and Music Composition
According to the introduction to his institution, Nobuaki Nobusawa graduated from the Composition Department of the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. After graduation, besides composing, he also participated in orchestral orchestration and arrangement of scores, focusing on orchestral arrangement combined with synthesizer programming to create music.
