Identity and experience
The first time she met Kaori, she was sharp, but Kaori didn't know why. Her hospital life and hidden stories form one of the three main routes in the original work.
RE:Therapy Original: Nagisa Route
Kaori made a mistake at work because Nagisa switched to surgery, and was reminded by two seniors. Sayuri is the patient she is responsible for caring for, and she then encourages her, prompting her to work independently again.
In the RE:Therapy-style Gisa route with a good ending, Nagisa walks onto the hospital rooftop after the night shift incident. Sayuri, Yokaori, and Hatsumi jointly tried to stop her, making her give up jumping; Nagisa then apologized for harassing Kaori.
RE:Therapy original edition: Sayuri route
She told Kaori she wanted to eat the omelet that her elementary school teacher had made. After consulting Nagisa, Kaori sent snacks the next day in branches that did not accept her kiss; Sayuri cried while eating, and when waiting for Kaori to leave, she admitted the dim sum was delicious.
In RE:Therapy's Sayuri happy ending, after she returns to Yurigahama, Yuhatsumi helps arrange staff dormitories. In the epilogue, she completes nursing school and starts working at this hospital, with Kaori, who had previously cared for her, becoming her mentor.
RE:Therapy Original: Hatsumi route
At the beginning of RE:Therapy's Hatsumi route, Sayuri's condition worsens and she switches to Yamanouchi's assigned nurse. After receiving a letter forwarded by Yamanouchi, she called Kaori to the hospital room and tore up the letter in front of her.
In RE:Therapy's Hatsumi Happy Ending epilogue, she enters internal medicine as a rookie nurse. When a hospitalized patient dies, she and Kaori jointly care for the body, encouraging Kaori through tears.
