Yoko Kanno participated in composing and arranging the theme song for "Shiranaka Adventure Club."
Participated in works
According to the information on 'Hakuchu Exploration Club,' Yoko Kanno is credited as the composer/arranger of the theme song.
Band arrangement and stage response
During his university years, Kanno dictated drums, bass, and guitar solos into music for his band performances. When the original song had three guitars spread across left, middle, and right channels while the main band had only two guitarists, she reassigned the vocals and joined the performance with keyboards. Continuous covers also made her realize that simply playing by notes was not enough to reproduce the music; the strength of the keys and the slight advancement or delay of the beat also affected the rhythm.
At the Onyanko Club graduation concert in 1987, Kanno played the keyboard. She recalled that the singer was unable to start singing because of tears, so she improvised to extend the introduction, waiting for the song to come in.
Production learning in the recording studio
In Tetsu 100%'s early records, the band first recorded according to their own arrangements, and later accepted arrangements from a separate voice producer. Kanno participated in subsequent album production, observing how sound adjustments and track selection were made; At that time, recording and mixing required other personnel, and she saw learning these steps in the studio as an experience transitioning from performance to record production.
