Winter cherry blossoms on Hatsune Island

Yoshino Kiyotaka, along with Morisono Ritsuka, Katsuragi Hino, Yoshino Natsuru, and five other girls—were active at the official news department of Kazami Academy. One winter day, cherry blossoms suddenly bloom across the island, and everyone receives a strange email dated 1951. Lixia leads the investigation and finally meets a mysterious woman under a cherry tree, listening to her recount stories from London over a hundred years ago.

Study abroad in the Kazami Chicken arc

Kiyotaka, the eldest son of the Japanese magical family Katsuragi family, and his sister Himeno go to England to study at the Royal London School of Magic, 'Weathercock,' located underground in London. Academy City is a group of three islands located in the underground lake, where magic apprentices from various countries study together, and Kiyotaka also encounters new companions and lifestyles.

Amnesiac girl and cherry branch

Kiyotaka and Rikatsu meet a girl carrying a cherry blossom branch on the streets of London. She lost most of her memories, but was tested to possess magical powers and was therefore temporarily at school. The identity of a young girl, the lingering London fog, and the power behind cherry branches gradually become questions beyond everyday life.

Student council and events

Kiyotaka arrives at school carrying the wish entrusted by his father and runs for the student council election to fulfill it. Meanwhile, commissions from the Queen request an investigation into the use of magic to harm people, linking the competition on campus to London's anomalies.

Versions and songs

The original PC version was released on April 27, 2012, followed by D.C.III R and console ports. The original theme song "Da Capo III ~Dedicated to You, Ai no Mahou~" is performed by yozuca*, written and composed by tororo, arranged by Katsuhiko Kurosu; Other songs also feature contributions from CooRie, Hiromi Sato, and others.

Characters and the stage

The Hatsune Island arc centers on the official news department led by Rikka Morizono, competing with Suginami's unofficial news department. Shire lives with Kiyotaka, Hime is her childhood friend next door, Rukawa Sara skipped grades to join the same class, and Harunoshita Aoi is a frail but persistent junior who works part-time.

In the Weathercock arc, she moves to a magic school in London, where Rikka, Ciel, and Tomoe also manage school affairs; The Edogawa family controls puppets, Mary and Edward are the detective families, and Ian and her maid Rurika form different school relationships.

Original song

The original product page lists nine songs, including the title track performed by yozuca*, No Life Negotiator's "Hajimari no Uta," and the duet "Shiny Steps!! by Suzuko Mimori and Manami Terakawa." 》。 rino and CooRie participated in songs such as "All is Love for You" and "Hirari Tears," with song credits and additional content recorded separately across platforms.

P.S. Ported version

The PS4 and Switch versions released on August 24, 2023, included additional D.C.III R content and adapted the stage play 'The Magic of Traveling with You' into a new chapter with character art and CG, excluding 'Ultimate Battle of the Wind'. The ported character list lists characters and voice actors from both eras, with credits recorded according to this version.
