The three main lines of Tohō Town
Kazuki Kaiho, Mana Sakurano, and Kiri Onose each serve as the main point of view. Haibao survived a murder case ten years ago; Mana pursues a murderer whose actions contradict her image; Wu has experienced limb dismemberment. The lives of the three are not unrelated; they approach the same area from different directions, leaving behind questions.
Past events and present
Beyond the main storyline, the short story shifts its perspective to an earlier era. Plots about alchemy, life, and heritage intertwine with events encountered by contemporary figures. Historical figures, religion, and alchemical imagery have been fictionally reconstructed, which is part of the work's setting, not a narration of real historical experiences.
Chapter structure
The three main stories together with three short stories form a single work, with the reading process switching between the characters' perspectives and time. Early details gain context in another chapter, so it is not a simple collection of six unrelated works.
Words and fine arts
The script was written by Ryoichi Watanabe. The main art direction was contributed by Akime Frontline, with short story art by Ume Aoki, Kashmir, and Masahiro Kure. Different chapters adopt different styles, complemented by the structure of multiple narrative segments.
Music and original soundtrack release
The opening song "Ao no Yukata" is performed by Rekka Katakiri, and the closing song "Indigo" is performed by KAKO♪. The digital soundtrack "Indigo Original Soundtrack" was released by TGZSOUNDs on September 17, 2022, containing 26 tracks; This date belongs to the original digital release, which was later than the 2010 game.
Release materials
During the C78 era, the game was released as a Windows fan game, with product information listed for all ages. At release, Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and 7 are labeled as the operating environment instructions at the time; Later, the author sold the inventory, which did not result in a new edition being reissued.
