Ambivalence arrangement and recording
While composing for the 2015 single "Ambivalence," Ota received the Teikou arc manga and rewatched the previous anime. To keep the freshness for middle school students, he chose not to use strings in the arrangement of the title track, gradually adding vocals and creating a climax at the end.
The same disc, "Happiness!", features live recording instruments, and the brass section is also recorded. He also explained that during the mastering stage, various equipment such as large speakers and small tape recorders were used for auditions.
Marionetette's bass choices
The same album, 'Marionette,' uses a story without redemption as its production cue. To create a sense of heaviness, Ota arranged a guitar that could lower the bass to B.
