"Haruka's Country ~Meiji Wintering Edition~" is the opening story of the fourth installment in the STUDIO HOMMAGE "Kuni" series. In the fourth year of Meiji, the fox Yukikaze went to Ou to challenge the wolf Haruka, and the two met during the coming harsh northern winter.

Yukikaze works for the new government and continues to hone his swordsmanship. Haruka's formidable reputation fuels her competitive spirit, prompting her to set out to seek out this rival; When she set out, she hadn't realized that winter was approaching her destination.
A meeting in the wind and snow
Haruka lives in the Ou Mountains. The continuous wind, snow, and cold winter create the environment in which the two meet each other. The story begins with Yukikaze's obsession with power, beginning the shared experiences of the two "Baked."
People and the shared world
Yukikaze is a fox-like transformation, Haruka is a wolf-like transformation. These beast gods, together with tengu and divine powers, form the series of fantasy settings; "The Land of the Mistyrane" and "The Land of the Giraffe" can help understand the world background.
Chapter placement
The Meiji Wintering Arc is the first chapter of 'Haruka's Country.' The official website also lists follow-up chapters such as Farewell to Meiji and Taisho Star Frost, focusing on the long span of two characters spanning the modern era as the creative direction. The Meiji Wintering arc centers on the first encounter between the two.

In a 2019 project introduction, KAZUKI recalled that the work began production in the summer of 2018, and the originally planned eight-hour content gradually expanded, so he sought support to ensure the creative timeline.
