In a 2024 interview, Haruno An recalled the ATRI game inclusion: she first read the character design and the overall script, interpreting Linlinhua's intelligence as innocent curiosity. Therefore, when performing with energy, she avoids deliberately loud noise, valuing vitality and frankness.
Dialogue and interactions from the "ATRI" animation
Haruno believes that the Rinrinka character in the ATRI anime needs to convey the feelings from the long scenes of the original work with fewer lines. In the original, the longer narrative tone can be used to change meaning, but in the animation, she combined multiple emotions into the same sentence.
In the ATRI anime, Haruno used improvisation to enhance his interaction with Hikasa's character Catherine, and on one occasion, he was rejected. The director also explained the changes to the original work and insisted that in the serious latter half, Lin Linhua's childlike vibe would still be retained.
